Sunny rural scene watercolor painting. It's a place called "La Pierre" in the nearby village of where I live in Normandy, France. I go biking there sometimes. It's a beautiful place.
Most of the time that's the story in my paintings. I go places. I see beauty, I take a mental picture and make an impression of it on paper.
Before I started painting I studied my subject intensely and searched for the best possible composition. When the pencil drawing was done it took 1 hour 45 minutes to finish.
