Along the edge of the Seine and at the foot of the ruins of Château-Gaillard, lies the picturesque little town Petit Andelys. From the church you can see the castle towering on top of the cliff.
We visited the International Festival For Plein Air Painting where we saw excellent art and it was quite worth it. I will surely go back to Les Andelys (made up of Grand Andelys and Petit Andelys) to go paint plein air.
The little corner café "Le café du petit Andelys" with the red awnings just screamed to be painted.
